In one of the most dramatic and rare moments in history, the Filipino flag can be seen atop Mount Everest. Mt. Everest is both a formidable and rewarding challenge for the ultimate climber. And once on top, the feeling is too exhilarating, almost beyond words…
The long tedious climb of Filipino mountaineers to the highest peak in the world comes to mind when recalling PCCC’s journey to where it is right now.
PCCC’s 41 year-journey in the ministry had its own share of difficulties and challenges. Discouragement from every side in the form of lack of support, adversities, changes, deaths of loved ones, problems confronting the work force, physical illnesses, and differences in outlook, assert its ugly head, trying to gain control and threatening to throw us off our “climb” to the top. The past 41 years was not easy, but now the path has been strewn with victories: countless people knowing Christ, lives changed by the gospel, its impact slowly but surely making a dent in every sector of our society with men and women choosing to invest their lives and resources in the greatest cause.
As a movement we could not have reach this far without GOD. And it is totally impossible to continue without Him. Because of Who HE is, we can keep on.
The past year alone gave us so much to celebrate. His faithfulness was displayed magnificently in the final completion of our National Headquarters after seven long years of waiting with God providing every single centavo to pay off all our financial obligations.
All over the country events are taking place. More have been brought to the kingdom of God as people from all walks of life turned to Jesus as their only Hope.
Just last month, PCCC honored its full time missionaries who have served the Lord for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty five and thirty years, showcasing God’s enabling power in their lives.
With God, every step of the journey is worth the sacrifice.
No matter how difficult.
No matter how long.
The journey ahead will not be promisingly easier. But the One who carved Everest with His own fingers is our Guide. There is no insurmountable, impossible task when He undertakes it. There is nothing that would give Him the greatest delight than seeing every single soul come to Him for a mountain top experience.
As you look back and travel with us in our journey this past year may you experience the God who remains faithful all through the single steps of faith we took.
